What to choose??

So, because we love and miss our late kitten, Rose, we looked to find our new kitten a similarly cute name. We thought of Little Lotte (from Phantom of the Opera), April (as she was born in April some time), and others like Rosey, (since she has these incredibly pink ears and a sweet pink nose!) and it would be in honor of our sweet Rose.

We just loved our little girl so much!

But I think we are naming her something related to Rose, instead of using her name (which we want to keep in our memories forever).

Well, we’ve searched high and low.

And since our other kitten’s name is Pinty, short for Pintorelli (which is Italian — since there is my other passion: all things Italian), I searched for an Italian name for girls, and voilà, came up with Lia, which found out it means rose, beautiful rose to be exact! We seem to love it! What do you think?

My fiancé calls her princess all the time “Where is the little princess!?” and out she comes running and jumping up and down.

Its just too cute. So “Princess” + “Lia” fits the bill. Just like Star Wars Princess Leia, LOL!

Lia is soo good for her. Its meaning is “bearer of good news” and it is a “beautiful rose” in Latin. Couldn’t be better, don’t you think?

We’ll see!
